OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. Belgorod Branch of CJSC EUROBETON has performed continuous installation of the concrete foundation slab for the GRINN shopping mall to be constructed in Belgorod in Bogdana Khmelnitskogo Prospect. Continuous pouring of concrete is used in order to avoid joints and to improve concrete strength properties. This concreting method assures the highest quality and reliability. The critical condition is that this operation should be performed continuously.

865 m3 is a record breaking amount for Belgorod Branch of CJSC EUROBETON. The concreting work on the shopping mall’s foundation started at 7.30 a.m. on the 2nd of June and ended at 3 a.m. on the 3rd of June. It involves 12 concrete mixer trucks and 120 truck runs.

The professional skill and teamwork of EUROBETON Branch’s staff have been instrumental in the successful accomplishment of the task. The work was performed in two shifts with low manpower requirement. EUROBETON staff was fully assisted by another production unit of EUROCEMENT Group – CJSC Belgorodskiy Cement. Thus, in order to reduce the delivery time and avoid possible delays due to the ongoing upgrade work on the road running across Chicherina Street, concrete mixer trucks made a shortcut through the cement plant’s site.

Pursuant to the terms of the competitive tender won by Belgorod Branch of CJSC EUROBETON construction work on the site owned by GRINN Corporation requires continuous concrete installation for two more foundation slabs of the same size; thus, the total amount of concrete will be approximately 3 thousand cubic meters.
