OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. Ukrainian railways have increased cargo turnover in 1H2010 by 15.2% yoy.

Prydniprovska Railway recorded the highest growth among all railways, adding 27.9%, while Southern Railway stayed almost flat (1.2%).

Millennium Capital: this news is positive for the Ukrainian railway bonds. The growth in transportation volumes will positively affect financial results of railways, taking into account the fact that their income is mostly generated by cargo turnover vs unprofitable passenger transportation services.
