Krasnodar Krai Administration and CPC Prepare to Sign Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. This is connected with the commencement of implementation of a major investment projects worth 27 billion Rubles, reported the press-centre of CPC.
First Vice Governor of Kuban Dzhambulat Khatuov and CPC General Director Alexander Tarakanov discussed its details during their meeting in Krasnodar.
During the next 4 years the Consortium intends to build two new crude oil pump stations in our Krai, reconstruct the existing Kropotkin PS and also the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk. These and other projects to expand CPC will allow to almost double the crude oil pumping volumes – up to 67 million tons per year.
In the course of the project implementation in Krasnodar Krai it is planned to create about fifteen hundred jobs. The Consortium intends to engage actively Kuban contracting companies in construction and modernization of its facilities.
- This project means to us not only additional scope of construction work, but also a growth of the tax base, - emphasized Dzhambulat Khatuov. – Krasnodar Krai and the reputable international Consortium have been cooperating for a long time in accordance with the partnership principles. We are pleased that the development of the cooperation between the Region and CPC continues. Reaching the new stage of relationship will be confirmed by the agreement which is to be signed shortly by the Consortium’s Officers and Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachyev.
During the meeting besides operation projects Dzhambulat Khatuov and Alexander Tarakanov also discussed CPC social plans. In particular, General Director spoke about Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s intent to support Kuban child and youth sport.
- We hope that CPC traditional participation in the Governor’s purpose-oriented programs and resolution of social issues in the municipalities where the Consortium is operating, will continue in the future, as well, - underlined Dzhambulat Khatuov at the end of the working meeting.
