OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. The Government will consider a number of draft decisions aimed at improving the management of budget funds, state property, as well as implementation of infrastructure projects, improvement of personnel policy. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this during the Cabinet’s meeting.

Mykola Azarov has noted that the Government intends to take actions to help save the public funds for emergency needs: "Today we will consider the decision to reduce expenditures in 2010 on public administration and other needs". However, according to him, the Government is developing measures of additional social protection that will help the Ukrainian society to withstand a potential economic and financial turbulence in the outside world. "I emphasize that an important element of such protection consists in the recovery of the pension provision", the Head of the Government stressed.

Mykola Azarov has said that the agenda of the Government consists draft projects aimed at improving the management of funds allocated from the state budget for the Youth Housing, work performance on Euro 2012 facilities, development and modernization of the customs system, procurement and installation of specialized medical equipment at the Center for Children's cardiology and cardiac surgery, carrying out extensive repair works on water retaining structures, etc.

The Prime Minister also has noted that to carry out the task of the President the Government has developed a regulatory document that provides the establishment of the effective system of training, retraining and advanced training of civil servants and local government officials. "Effective implementation of the state policy in all spheres of life is impossible without the high-level public management", has emphasized Mykola Azarov and added that this issue is extremely urgent in the context of enhancing the role of local communities and their administrations.

Moreover, Mykola Azarov has briefed that the Government intends to establish the Interagency Commission on energy development for effective reforming of the energy sector. "Its task consists in developing the fuel and energy sector and energy saving", he said.
