OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov met with Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David A. Harris. During the meeting both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States of America and between Ukraine and Israel.

"We support the decision of Ukraine and Israel on establishing a visa free regime. Such an agreement will certainly improve the cooperation between two countries", said David A. Harris. He also expressed satisfaction with the agreements reached during the meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA, aiming at the development of bilateral relations through the strategic partnership.

The Prime Minister promised to the AJC Executive Director to give support in preparing and holding activities marking the 70th anniversary of the massacre at Babi Yar. "We will provide at the state level support for all activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the tragedy at Babi Yar. We support the idea of creating the National Historical Memorial Preserve "Babi Yar" and everything that depends on the Government for the implementation of this project, we will settle", emphasized Mykola Azarov.
