OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, particularly, over the first 5 months of 2010 the volume of Moldovan export amounted to USD522.1 million, increasing by 10.4%, as compared to the same period of 2009.

At the same time, the volume of export in CIS countries amounted to USD196.5 million, exceeding the indexes of January-May 2009 by 18.2%. The deliveries of Moldovan goods in EU countries reduced by 0.9% - to USD 254.6 million.

The share of CIS countries in total volume of Moldovan export in this period increased from 35.1% to 37.6%, and the share of EU countries – reduced from 54.3% to 48.8%. The import volume in Moldova in January-May 2010 amounted to USD 1 billion 353.6 million, increasing by 9.3%, as compared to the same period of 2009.

A the same time, the import from CIS countries reduced by 5.1% - to USD 458.8 million, and from EU countries – increased by 19.7% - to USD 590.5 million. The share of CIS countries in the total volume of Moldovan import reduced in this period from 39.1% to 33.9%, and of EU countries - increased from 39.8% to 43.6%.

The deficit of trade balance of Moldova with EU countries in January-May 2010 increased by 42.1% - to USD 335.9 million, and with CIS countries – reduced by 17.4% - to USD 262.3 million. The largest deficit of trade balance in January-May 2010 Moldova had with Ukraine - USD 141.9 million, following by: Russia - USD 119.9 million, China - USD 107.6 million, Germany - USD75.8 million, Romania - USD 45.4 million, Italy - USD 40.2 million, Turkey - USD 35.9 million, Poland - USD 21.7 million, Hungary - USD 20 million, France - USD 19.6 million.

The data of the National Bureau of Statistics doesn’t include trade and economic operations of enterprises from Transdniestrian region.
