OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. On 29 June the branch office of Gazprom VNIIGAZ launched the VII Scientific and Practical Conference of young scientists and specialists “Innovations in oil and gas industry-2010”, the first of events devoted to the 50th anniversary of the branch office.

When opening the conference the Head of the Council of young scientists and specialists of the branch office Tatiana Ksyonz told about the work of youth organizations and reported on the results of the participation in the contest for the best youth organization of the Komi Republic. She also handed in the diploma and the cup of the contest’s participant to the senior management. Accepting the award the head of the Ukhta branch office of Gazprom VNIIGAZ Evgeniy Mikhaylovich Gurlenov said that the time will come when today’s young people will celebrate the success of the new generation”.

In his welcome address to conference participants, E.M. Gurlenov wished everybody successful work and stressed that the contest commission will estimate the reports strictly but fairly. “High-quality reports are the basis for future theses, therefore, you should prepare your speech very carefully”, said E.M. Gurlenov.  

The ceremonial part was continued by the film specially prepared to the anniversary of the branch office. The moment was unique because the conference participants became the first viewers of the documental film from the block “Property of the Republic”, which is planned for release on 9 July – the day of establishment of the Ukhta branch office of Gazprom VNIIGAZ.

After the ceremonial opening the Conference started its work. On the first day the contest commission estimated 16 reports.
