OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. National Company “KazMunayGas” participated in the 13th international exhibition “Equipment and technologies for oil and gas complex “Neftegaz 2010” (Moscow, Russia). At the exhibition more than 1000 profile companies from 40 countries demonstrated recent developments in oil and gas production and hydrocarbons processing, petrochemical products production, as well as the latest equipment used in oil and gas industry.

“KazMunayGas” group of companies was represented by the single exhibition stand (130 square meters in area) with the participation of all major subsidiaries, including “Exploration and Production “KazMunayGas” JSC, “KazTransGas” JSC, etc.

The eighth Russian Petroleum Congress “Modernization - a key strategy for the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry” was held as a part of the exhibition “Neftegaz 2010”. Presentations of the European Commission, the International Energy Agency and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, line ministries and oil companies from Russia, Iran, China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, including JSC NC “KazMunayGas” were scheduled in the program of the Congress.

Topic of the Congress coincides with the long-term development strategy of the National Company “KazMunatyGas” and objectives implemented by the company under the State program for accelerated industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014.

- In the short term “KazMunayGas” will focus on the most important for the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan major investment projects on additions to hydrocarbon reserves, development of transport infrastructure providing a reliable oil and gas supply diversification, both on the domestic market and abroad, as well as on the projects of modernization and development of oil refining and petroleum chemistry - said Kayrgeldy Kabyldin, Chairman of the Board of “KazMunayGas” NC JSC.

JSC NC “KazMunayGas” implements comprehensive plan of oil refineries development for 2010-2015 in order to develop oil refining and petroleum chemistry. Thus, “Atyrau Oil Refinery” LLP has a reconstruction project of existing ELVOU-AVT plant and delayed coking units, a construction project of a complex for production of aromatic hydrocarbons and an oil deeper conversion complex. The project on production of asphaltic road oil is implemented at Aktau plastic plant as a part of the implementation of the Industrialization map of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014.
