OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2010. Results of the XVIth International Contest PEGAZ "Best publication on the problems of the fuel and energy sector of Russia" were summed up Moscow. The press service of TATNEFT Company was awarded the top prize of the PEGAZ Contest, i.e. PEGAZ ZLATOKRYLY (Gold-Winged Pegasus), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

PAGAZ is one of the prestigious international contests, in which participate professionals from corporate editing boards and press-offices of domestic and foreign companies operating in the area of the fuel and energy sector, nuclear industry and engineering, as well as individual authors specializing on the treatment of the fuel and energy sector.

This Contest is supported by Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “Rosatom” State Nuclear Energy Corporation, and other oil/gas and energy companies and organizations.

The aim of this Contest is to attract the attention of general public, political, governmental and business structures to the development issues of the fuel and energy sector of Russia through mass media and to increase the competence of journalists in the coverage of fuel and energy sector activities and consolidate the journalists treating the problems of the fuel and energy sector.

There are nominations in PEGAZ Contest for authors of books, newspaper and magazine editorial boards of oil and gas companies, the companies’ press-services, television as well as radio programs and films.

The jury of the contest (composed of masters of national journalism (Yasen Zasursky, Eduard Sagalayev, etc.) as well as leaders of the Russian fuel and energy sector, representatives of science: Anatoly Yanovsky, Deputy Energy Minister of the Russian Federation, Valery Yazev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kantorovich, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Nekipelov, Vice President of Russian Academy of Sciences, and many others) highly appraised advanced level of the works submitted.

The press service of OAO TATNEFT was awarded the First Prize and presented the highest award PEGAZ ZLATOKRYLY (Gold-Winged Pegasus) for professionalism and promptness in arranging efficient communication between the Company and the public.

The press service of the Company arranges efficient communication with ambient environment, performs follow-up of daily operations and strategic projects of OAO TATNEFT through local, republican and foreign mass media, arranges and oversees the work of the corporate mass media ("Oil and Life” magazine, Neftyznye Vesti” and “Khazine” newspapers and “Vremya Tatanefti” TV studio.

The staff of OAO TATNEFT TV studio was awarded the first prize and the Grand Prix, i.e. a bronze statuette of the winged horse “PEGAZ”. The prize in the nomination “To the editorial staff of corporate newspapers and magazines” was awarded to the group of the "Oil and Life” magazine.

Holding of PEGAZ Contest is a bright and interesting tradition on the modern journalistic life attracting the attention of the public and the authorities to the problems of the key industries of the Russian economics. On top of this the Contest is one of the ways of identifying the most talented, professional and competent representatives of the mass media.
