OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. Stroylensky Ore-dressing and Processing Enterprise has finished the jaw-crusher erection works. At present SHCDP 15x21У jaw crusher of Uralmashplant design and production shall pass performance testing to be held at Stroylensky enterprise. The contract for delivery of the jaw crusher was negotiated in January 2008. The total weight of the equipment is 309 t. 

SHCDP 15x21У jaw crusher is designed for crushing ore and rock minerals. The feed opening size of 1500х2100 mm provides effective processing of rock minerals up to 1,3m long. Stroylensky Ore-dressing and Processing Enterprise plans to use the jaw crusher for processing of high-grade iron ore and schist.

Uralmashplant jaw-crusher is designed to replace the obsolete machine, which exhausted its operation life after being in service for over forty years. The service capacity of the new machine is approximately one and a half times as much as the old model. Thus, for example, coarse-size fraction crushing unit of the Uralmashplant jaw crusher is capable to process up to 480 tons of schist (which is equal to the carrying capacity of ten 55-ton BelAZ dump trucks) in only half an hour.

When designing the jaw crusher for Stroylensky Ore-dressing and Processing Enterprise Uralmashplant specialists have applied new engineering solutions. Particularly this machine is the first Russian jaw crusher with remote control of discharge opening. Formerly the discharge opening had mechanical control and the procedure took about 7-8 hours. Now the operation takes from 30 to 40 minutes and is controlled from the operator console or directly from the local control console.   

Besides, a number of significant modifications were implemented into the new model. Thus, for example, no subsidiary drive is required since there is a new high-capacity motor. In addition, the crusher features automatic systems of liquid and grease lubrication, information control console with operation data displayed on a touch screen, overload protection system. Special hydraulic wrench with specific tightening torque provides secure tightening of all major threaded connections of the crusher. 

In June Stroylensky enterprise starts performance testing of SHCDP 15x21У jaw crusher, the prototype model of Uralmashplant jaw-crusher dimension-type range. It is expected that Uralmashplant specialists and representatives from Rostekhnadzor (Federal service for Ecology, Technology and Nuclear supervision) shall participate at the testing procedure. At the same time Uralmashplant is ready to put into operation two more jaw crushers:  SHCDP 12x15У mounting works shall start in June at Kuzbassrazrezugol JSC, and in September the mounting of SHCDP 15x21У crusher shall start at Magnitogorsk metallurgical works.
