OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. Coke production in Ukraine fell by 15.3% in June 2010, official from the Cabinet of Ministers reported June 5. ALKZ and YASK were among the worst performers reducing the output by 35% and 10% respectively.

Millennium Capital: the news is negative for the coke producers. The reduction of output of coking plants was the direct consequence of the decrease in steel production in the country (-13.5% mom). The latter was caused by the deteriorating pricing environment on the global steel market.
