OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. VAB Bank has named a winner of its special Become A Millionaire programme. The playout identified Ms Anna Yuriychouk, Uman, Cherkassy oblast, as the recipient of the programme’s top award: UAH 1 million from VAB Bank, reported the press-centre of VAB Bank.

“That VAB Bank would choose to date the playout of so attractive an award to its 18th anniversary was not a mere chance.  We have once again asserted that following and exceeding expectations of our customers is the uttermost priority of our policy.

Indeed, although the winner was hoping to get a million hrivnias this expectation was not any greater than that of any other programme participant.  Mutual trust in relations with our Bank is, of course, worth both these expectations and this hope, and these strong emotions.  Our customers may rest assured that new products, new offers, and similarly attractive programmes are to follow,” Mr Tsvetan Petrining, VAB Bank deputy chairman and head of retail and distribution, commented.

The Become A Millionaire programme ran between 16/11/2009 and 15/02/2010, targeting at all customers who opened a Fixed Term, a Pension, or a Cumulative deposit for at least UAH 1000 (respectively, US\\$ 200 or EUR 200), maturing in at least three months, during that period.  The longer the maturity period chosen by a customer to open or extend a deposit, the more scores they received.  Each score was assigned a position to participate in the future playout.  Up to 15% extra to a base interest rate was a pleasant addition to the opportunity to win the top award: the actual number of extra points was individual and was determined by choice of a scratch card at the time of deposit execution.

During the programme period over UAH 800 m was attracted to private individual accounts as Fixed Term, Pension, and Cumulative deposit products.  Deposits opened during that period were predominantly in hrivnia, accounting for 59% of the overall portfolio attracted.  Nearly 22 thousand people participated in the programme.
