OREANDA-NEWS. July 02, 2010. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan Republic, held the technical meeting devoted to construction of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex in Nizhnekamsk.

Before the meeting the President visited the 1st Start-up facilities of Taneco. At the construction site Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Valery Vlasov, Secretary of RT Security Council; Ilshat Fardiev, RT Deputy Prime Minister – RT Energy Minister; Shafagat Takhautdinov, JSC Tatneft General Director; Aydar Metshin, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Municipal Area; Khamza Bagmanov, General Director of OJSC TANECO and Managers of Contracting Companies.

At the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov entrusted Project Participants with two main tasks. The first one is to complete the main construction scopes for 1A1 Phase within two forthcoming months. To fulfill the task it is required to ensure timely delivery of equipment and material, high quality works, man-power mobilization and finalizing of as-built documentation.

The second important task is to recruit the qualified and experienced man-power for the future production. 1647 people are required for the 1st Start-up Complex. As of today 750 employees have been recruited. Electricians, Operators, Analysts, Process units Repairmen and Gas Rescuers are mostly required.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the complex and high-quality production, as Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, requires experienced specialists and operating personnel to be recruited. That was the reason why the President addressed JSC TAIF-NK, JSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, JSC Nizhnekamskshina and other attendees of the meeting with request to assist OJSC TANECO in recruiting and training of the personnel in the analogous production.

“I understand that there is no unwanted or excessive number of personnel anywhere,” – the President said, - nevertheless, we should consider that Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex is of great importance for Russia. And the issue of stuffing should be seriously taken into consideration”.

As for the status of the project implementation Rustam Minnikhanov noted that at the construction site works are performed within the frame of the approved schedule. Nowadays all necessary conditions are available to achieve the goal assigned. The incentive system accepted in the Project contributes to production and labor quality.

Bringing the meeting to the conclusion the President addressed the attendees: “We should direct all our efforts to the efficient work”.
