The equipment of the factory represents the latest technical achievements in the production of glass fiber and glass fiber products. Automated control systems allow maintaining precisely defined processes, which guarantee high quality products.
P-D Tatneft-Alabuga Glass Fiber factory plans to produce about 21 thousand tons of high quality competitive products from glass fiber per year for construction, automotive, shipbuilding, electrical and other industry branches. This is direct roving, which is used in manufacturing of fiber glass based products: fiber glass tanks, pipes, moulds, articles for sports and recreation.
Assembled roving is applied for manufacturing of glass mats and glass fiber based products. Chopped fiber is used for production of non-woven materials (linoleum and soft roof base), as well as for production of thermoplastics, which are used in the automotive industry (fans, bumpers, hulls cladding). Fiberglass mats are used in production of fiberglass tanks and pipes, pools, boat hulls, bath tubs, vehicles, car bumpers, as well as in shipbuilding. Glass fiber meshes are intended for construction purposes, reinforcing structures, plaster and facade works, reinforcing of asphalt/ concrete pavement in road construction, reconstruction and repair of roads, as well as runways of airfields.
The advantages of the new production facility include: use of local raw materials, convenient geographic location, proximity to large petrochemical, automobile manufacturing and road construction facilities, as well as to electrical/technical and other industrial enterprises, and also a well developed transport infrastructure in the region.
Location of the factory in the territory of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Alabuga" provides for substantial tax benefits of SEZ residents: 10 years tax exemption with regard to payment of some local taxes (property tax, land tax, transport tax), and use of 4% reduced profit tax rate.
Construction of the factory will help increasing the proportion of Russian made products in the total consumption of glass fiber.
