OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2010. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 6.4% on the year in January-May 2010 to 55.754 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-May increased 7.7% on the year to 59.311 trillion rubles.

Farm output rose 5.5% to 6.683 trillion rubles.

In 2009, Belarus’ GDP grew 0.2% on the year to 136.8 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 123.2 trillion rubles, down 2.8% on the year. Farm output increased 1.3% to 26.5 trillion rubles.
