OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2010. The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan indicates additional opportunities of digital television that can be involved in the country.

Communications minister Ali Abbasov says that the country launched successfully the process of switching to digital TV and radio broadcasting.

“Currently digital television services are accessible in Baku, Absheron, Ganja

and other regions of the country. At present main broadcasting companies receive their main income from advertisement. Digital television will enable to introduce such new services as e-commerce, e-education, etc. Thus, TV companies will get additional sources of earnings, for example, video programs,” Abbasov said.
