OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. The first Conference of Directors of airports within the network ‘Novaport’ was hosted at Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo).

The conference attracted over 20 experts from airports in Astrakhan, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk, Chita. The conference was opened by the General Director of ‘Novaport’ Mihail Smirnov, General Director of JSC ‘Airport Tolmachevo’ Alexander Borodin and the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Novosibirsk region Nikolai Simonov.

In the largest of its member structure LLC ‘Novaport’ Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo) noted:

- high levels in the field of aviation security anti-terrorist security and safety at the airport Tolmachevo;

- successful restructuring of the company credit load of 1 140 million rubles at mid 2009 to 980 million rubles today with a substantial decrease in the cost of borrowed resources. In May an open auction JSC -- Airport Tolmachevo’ drew a loan of 250 million rubles from the record low fixed rate of 10.08% per annum;

- successful implementation of works on the active involvement of carriers, including cargo, such as airline “Flight”, Air China Cargo. Also, as part of a program for attracting new foreign airlines in 2010 - 2011 expected the cooperation with cargo airlines, such as: ULS Cargo, Cargo Italia, Air Cargo Germany and others.

The main event in 2010 in Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo) will be commissioning runway 2 to ICAO category II.

In the final part of the conference the Director of the Centre for Strategic Research in the field of civil aviation Anton Koren spoke about the theoretical and practical approaches to developing strategies for airports.

Airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) is one of the largest airports in the country hosted the first Conference of the airport managers. From this moment conferences for exchange experiences among the leaders of airports and between the heads of services and departments will be an annual event.
