OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. In the first quarter of the year, capital investments volume in the woodworking sector in Russia amounted to 3 billion roubles (USD97 million), which is 36.2% less than in the first quarter of 2009, as Rosstat (Russian Statistic Agency) reported.

This figure does not include, however, small enterprises and indirect investments.

In the pulp and paper segment, in Q1 2010 investment decreased by 51.7% compared to the similar period of the previous year which made up 3.7 billion roubles (USD119 million).
