OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. The Company Group ALITA AB implemented the project “High-efficiency Combined Heat and Power Plant building in Alita AB” because of rising costs, a large increase in energy consumption throughout the manufacturing sector and a need to increase the efficiency of energy production.

The project started in July of 2009 and it was funded by the European Union's Cohension Fund. A Combined heat and Power Plant of 450 kW power and 624 kW heat capacity was installed and heat production infrastructure was modernized. 

The total investment cost is 6,2 million LT (2 million EUR). The support of European Union Structural Funds for the project reached 3,5 million LT (1 million EUR).
