OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. Swedbank Autopargi Juhtimise AS has sold the business line related to the franchise of the car rental company SIXT to the Latvian company SIA Transporent. The transaction covers the entire SIXT Baltic network, reported the press-centre of Swedbank. 

According to Karin Lamp, the Acting Corporate Banking Director of Swedbank, the SIXT franchise has been sold along with the respective rights and duties. As of June 2010, SIXT car rental services are being provided in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania by SIA Transporent and the latter’s subsidiaries in Estonia and Lithuania.

“The reason for the transfer of the short-term rental business is the bank’s desire to focus on its primary business,” said Lamp.

No amendments have been made to the full service lease contracts of Swedbank Autopargi Juhtimise AS in connection with the sale of the franchise and nothing will change for the clients. For further information, call Car Fleet Customer Support on +372 888 7799.
