OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2010. President Viktor Yanukovych is confident that realization of the new strategy of staffing policy development would allow overcoming the existing problems in the sector, he said today at the meeting of the Council of Regions in Kyiv, which examined current state of affairs in the field of staffing policy and the strategy of its development in 2011-2020.

According to the President, among the problems in the area of staffing policy the most important are lack of correspondence of staffing policy to the requirements of the time, imperfect legislation that regulates the area, lack of strategic management of staff training aimed at making it meet the society’s needs, insufficient development of the system of public HR agencies and lack of qualified staff in them, insufficient application of scientific research results in the development and implementation of staffing policy, etc.

Viktor Yanukovych noted that during the discussion of the draft strategy many important suggestions were voiced. He expressed confidence that most of them will be lent an ear to during preparation of its final edition.

The President also expressed hope that the strategy of public staffing policy would be approved soon and would "be followed at all levels”.

"We will do everything to ensure that new staff, new faces soon appeared at all levels of government," said Viktor Yanukovych.
