OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2010. The ventilation with the total area of over 75 thousand square meters consists of two complexes, i.e. the general interchange ventilation and the emergency ventilation.

The general interchange ventilation will secure comfort stay of people in the regular operation mode of the sports facility. The main task of this part of the system is to maintain the microclimate, including the prescribed temperature and humidity over the main and training ice fields.

In addition to that, the general interchange ventilation will be programmed for several operation algorithms depending on meteorological conditions and the level of filling of Bolshoi Ice Palace with spectators. Air entering the system will be heated during the cold season and cooled in hot weather. The special operating mode is provided for the case of increase of carbon dioxide concentration in the arena premises. Changes in air and temperature composition will be monitored automatically, in course of check measurements.

The emergency ventilation is provided for the case of emergency occurrence: fumigation, rise of temperature, changes in air chemical composition.
