OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2010. Ingosstrakh won the VI annual public finance award "Financial Elite of Russia 2010". The official awarding ceremony was held in the reception palace of the Diplomatic Corps of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. This year the award was given based on the results for 2005-2010; the names of the financial companies with the best performance for the past 5 years were announced. They received a high expert appraisal and public recognition.

According to the members of the Award organizing committee, the companies that were able to successfully cope with serious difficulties and which deserved to be rewarded for the results of the past 5 years put stability and financial strength ahead of immediate profit. Currently Russia, together with the rest of the world, is gradually but steadily overcoming the consequences of financial instability and the task of the largest and most dynamic financial companies is to help the country to restore a steady economic growth.

The guests of honor that attended and held speeches at the awarding ceremony were: Deputy of the State Duma and President of the Association of Regional Banks (Association "Russia") A.G. Aksakov; Deputy President of the State Duma Financial Market Committee L.V. Pepelyaeva; Deputy of the State Duma and member of the Financial Market Committee P.A. Medvedev etc.

Ingosstrakh won the award "Financial Elite of Russia 2010" in the nomination "Grand Prix: Insurance Company of the Past Five Years”. Vice president of the company Ilya Solomatin said: "In these five years the market situation changed radically. Fast growth was followed by difficult times; last year was characterized by the international financial crisis, the consequences of which seriously affected the whole financial sector, including the insurance segment. Ingosstrakh chose a strategy aimed at long-term cooperation with clients and tried to preserve the most important thing: their trust. The Company has fully performed all the undertaken obligations and will continue to do so in the future".

Another winner of the five-year award "Financial Elite of Russia" was Ingosstrakh’s affiliate Ingosstrakh Investments Management Company OJSC. The management company won an award in the nomination "Reliability". According to Natalia Korabelnikova, Deputy General Director of the winner Ingosstrakh-Investments, within a short period of time the company implemented an integrated risk management system in the investment process and gained recognition of the leading Russian rating agencies. National Rating Agency increased the company’s reliability rating up to AAA (maximum reliability); Expert RA rated it A++ (highest level of reliability and service quality). Ingosstrakh Investments equity capital increased by more than three times since 2008, and as of March 31, 2010 it amounted to over 330 mln rubles. The net profit for 2009, a difficult year, was almost 250 mln rubles.

Ingosstrakh has won quite a few prizes and awards. In June 2010 Ingosstrakh won the award "Financial Olympus – 2009" in the nomination "Largest Insurance Company of the Year", category "Result and Success", and XII Russian contest "Golden Diploma for Transparency and Impeccable Goodwill". In May 2010 Ingosstrakh won in the two main categories of award "Golden Salamander": "Company of the Year 2009" and "Informationally Open Organization of the Year". The Insurer won in these categories in 2009 as well. In April 2010, Ingosstrakh won BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE 2009 contest. In June 2009 the company won the award "Financial Elite of Russia", nominated as "Grand Prix: Insurance Company of the Year". Ingosstrakh became a prize winner of "Expert–400" rating in the "Transparency" category for the fourth year in a row.
