OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2010. President Alexander Lukashenko met with First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko. One of the main themes of their meeting was the future of the Belarusian Potash Company.

As a result of the transaction that took place on 11 June, Dmitry Rybolovlev, the holder of the majority stake at Uralkali, sold its controlling stake to three new shareholders. The latter have confirmed their intention to stay with the Belarusian Potash Company.

In addition, a decision was taken that Dmitry Rybolovlev would remain the chairman of the supervisory board of the Belarusian Potash Company. He will also remain in possession of 10 per cent of Uralkali and thus will participate in Uralkali’s business.

Vladimir Semashko has briefed the President on the new plans regarding further development and strengthening of the Belarusian Potash Company.
