OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. SC Olimpstroy has agreed with youth social movement “Russian Student Squadrons” that 1,350 participants of student squadrons will participate in Olympic Venues construction. This is almost seven times more than last summer, when approximately 200 people participated in the Olympic construction.

Federal Tender Commission which also includes representatives of the Corporation has performed selection of student squadrons for participation in construction of Olympic Venues. Approximately one thousand students will be assigned for work with OJSC RZD (Russian Railways). Participants of constructing squadrons will also participate in construction of venues of Gazprom OJSC and Rosavtodor. Moreover, students will participate in construction of Olympic Venues, responsible contractor of which is SC Olimpstroy, particularly, in construction of the Bolshoi Ice Palace and Olympic Skating Center.

The first construction squadrons have already started their work on Olympic Venues sites, but the main group of students will come to Sochi in July. SC Olimpstroy provides information support to RSO movement and helps in cooperation with work performers. The Corporation plays an important role in development of construction squadron movement, participating in development of practices aimed at attracting of students to implementation of the Olympic Project.
