Rossiya Starts High Summer Season
OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. With the beginning of summer Rossiya has launched an intensive summer navigation. Spring/summer schedule comprises 73 destinations in 25 countries of the world.
The season is marked by a number of new flights launched. Flight schedule to Italy has been seriously changed: flights to Rimini, Catania and Palermo have become regular. Flights to the main business, trade and tourist centres of the country - Rome and Milan - are now more frequent. Flights to Tivat in Montenegro have become regular. The situation is the same with Crete: flights to Heraklion are operated regularly.
One of the long-awaited summer novelties is the direct flight from Pulkovo to the airport of Gelendzhik which opened for aircraft operations at the end of May, 2010. The new air gate of the Black Sea coast welcomes passengers of STC Rossiya twice a week. The flight map is now enlarged with Volgograd and Qarshi in Uzbekistan.
To extend the flight map STC Rossiya works in close cooperation with airline partners. Agreements for joint operation of air routes have been signed with 22 airlines whereof 14 are non-CIS and Baltic companies and 8 are the companies of CIS and the Russian Federation.
As from the summer season STC Rossiya and KLM airlines increase the total number of St. Petersburg - Amsterdam flights up to 12 per week within the Code Sharing Agreement. In development of their partnership relations STC Rossiya and CSA have increased the number of own St. Petersburg - Prague flights up to 5 frequencies per week. Thanks to the bilateral agreement each of the companies can provide its passengers with air tickets to 10 flights per week for the specified air route. As from June 2010, Warsaw - Kaliningrad flights will be operated under the Code Sharing Agreement with the LOT airline. Flights under the Code Sharing Agreement with Korean Air tour operator airlines have been resumed (St.Petersburg - Seoul), Iberia (St. Petersburg - Madrid), Malev (St. Petersburg - Budapest).
In the summer season 2010 new frequencies for St. Petersburg - Minsk air routes have been introduced thanks to cooperation agreements with the BelAvia airline. It’s the first time that a Code Sharing Agreement is concluded with the Armavia airline. And the Code Sharing Agreement with Azal is prolonged for the summer period. Thus, the number of frequencies on St. Petersburg - Baku and St. Petersburg - Yerevan air routes has increased. Thanks to partnership with the Nordavia airline passenger flights to Syktyvkar and Perm have been launched.
