OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. Nazim Efendiev was appointed Managing Director of Ural Steel (subdivision of Metalloinvest Holding”). He assumes office July 8, 2010.

“Nazim Efendiev is an experienced and competent leader, he has excellent knowledge of the plant. Today Ural Steel faces serious tasks of keeping its share at traditional markets while expanding to new ones. The plant needs to continue modernization, increasing quality and profitability. Nasim Efendiev is a person who can handle it all,” said General Director of Metalloinvest Management Company Eduard Potapov.

“I am really glad to return to the Ural Steel management. I worked at this plant for five years and I know that this team can respond to any challenge. I am really glad to work with such a professional team,” said Nazim Efendiev.

Born in Baku, December 16, 1963.

1985 — Graduated from the Mititary Institute of Foreign Languages.

1995 — Obtained MBA degree at the Academy of National Economy, completed a special program of international management at Kingston University (UK).

1982-1992 — Military service.

Since 1996 worked at Siberian Aluminum as Deputy Sales Director, Head of Samara Metal Plant Trading House, Head of Rolling Division at Russian Aluminum.

2001 — Sales Director at NOSTA and Ural Steel.

2004 — General Director, Ural Steel.

2006-2007 — Executive Director, Metalloinvest Managing Company.

2007 — General Director, OJSC Uralmashzavod.

2007-2009 — General Director, CJSC Machine-building corporation “Uralmash”.

2009 — Chairman of the Board, CJSC Machine-building corporation “Uralmash”.

June 2010 — appointed as Managing Director of “Ural Steel”.
