In search of GAZ Group technological revitalization of its model line, GAZ Group is seeking agreement with an international auto manufacturer concerning assembly of passenger cars at its plants. Citing the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, an agreement could be in place by year’s end, reported the press-centre of OTKRITIE Financial Corporation.

View: GAZ Group possesses a wide dealer chain in Russia, which would be beneficial for potential partners. An agreement could be similar to those of companies like AvtoVAZ and Sollers, which are cooperating closely with Renault-Nissan and Fiat, respectively. Daimler is the most likely candidate for GAZ Group since it has shown interest in access to Russian market.
