Klaipeda Port Implements EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy
OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. Martynas Armonaitis, Economics and Finance Director, on the 10 of June, 2010, participated at the seminar „Implementation of EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy“ that was organized in the hotel „Best Western Hotel Vilnius“ ( Konstitucijos str. 14, Vilnius), reported the press-centre of Klaipeda Port.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania communicating with European territorial cooperation program INTERact, organized the seminar „Implementation of EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy“ designated to discuss financial and management aspects of strategy implementation.
Cohesion of operational programs of national EU Structural Funds and Territorial Cooperation with the goals of strategy, contribution of international financial institutions to financing of strategy implementation and possibilities of technical support were discussed at this seminar.
The participants of simultaneous conferences of three targeted groups shared their experience in the fields of innovations, transport, energetic, tourism, health care and education.
Representatives from EU Commission, European Investment Bank, North Investment Bank, INTERact program subdivision to Northern – Eastern Europe, Economic and Regional Development Agencies of Sweden in line with representatives from National Strategy Implementation Monitoring Commission, diverse academic institutions, business, self- government and non – governmental organizations.
The Port Authority was represented by the Economics and Finance Director Martynas Armonaitis.
