OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2010. Moscow Domodedovo Airport recorded growth of physical indicators in April 2010.

April 2010 saw 15 412 flights served in Domodedovo which is an increase by 16,3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport passenger traffic volumes totaled 1 545 030 based on results of April 2010 which is 25,0% more compared to the same month previous year.

Cargo traffic in Domodedovo demonstrated growth by 31,3% compared to the same month of the last year rates and reached 12 585 tons.

Domestic passenger traffic growth was recorded and totaled 642 111 which is an increase by 25,6% compared to the same period in 2009.

International passenger traffic in April 2010 increased by 24,5,0% compared to the same month last year and totaled 902 919 passengers.

Following the results of the first four months 2010 total passenger traffic reached 5 831 737 which is 32,8% more compared to the same period last year.

Domestic passenger traffic in January-April 2010 saw 2 329 829 (an increase of 34,3% compared the same period last year).

Based on January-April results the highest growth rates of passenger traffic volumes was recorded on the following destinations: Saint Petersburg, Ufa, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg, Omsk. Passenger traffic volumes operated along these routes totaled 563,3 thousand travelers which is an increase by 70% versus the same period in 2009.

International passenger traffic in January-April 2010 totaled 3 501 908 demonstrating an increase by 31,7% compared to the same period last year. The highest growth rates were recorded on the following destinations: Hurgada, Sharm el Sheikh, Bangkok, Phuket, Dubai. Passenger traffic along these routes saw a growth of 1 067,3 which is an increase by 79% compared to 2009.

The number of flights served for the four months of 2010 totaled 59 225 demonstrating an increase by 19,4% compared to the same period in 2009.

Based on results of January-April 2010 the volume of cargo traffic totaled 44 062 tons which is an increase by 30,2 % compared to the same period of the previous year.
