OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2010. The Government at the meeting will consider the number of draft laws and legislative acts aimed at the country’s activity. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In addition, the Government will consider bills aimed at improving the social protection of orphans and children without parental care. According to the Prime Minister, this includes a scholarship support, one-time help for graduates among such children in employment.

Mykola Azarov stressed that the Government has also developed amendments to the Family Code, regulations aimed at creating jobs in coal mining regions and funding of projects to increase the safety of mines.

Moreover, according to Mykola Azarov, the Government is currently working on restructuring the filling of so-called consumer basket: "Today we are to make a decision that will restore science and public examination of basic public social standard, which is the cost of living".

Mykola Azarov emphasized that the Government pays much attention to the support of the agricultural sector: "Today we are considering the use of budget funds that will allow within the planned Budget for 2010 to finance agricultural development program".

At the same time, according to the Heard of the Government, carrying out of measures to support individual housing in rural areas, as well as construction lending and housing for academic researchers and teachers is accelerating.

In the field of transport and communications the Government proposes amendments to the legislation aimed at streamlining of internal transportations and increase of the level of responsibility for interference in railways transport activities that threatens the safety and lives of passengers.
