OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2010. Ingosstrakh’s Elista branch paid 5.4 mln rubles to Agrosoyuz-S CJSC in connection with damage of winter wheat crop. Crops in the area of 2,505 ha in the fields of the village of Kanukovo, Sarpinsky district, Republic of Kalmykia, were insured for the total amount of 29.4 mln rubles.

The insured event was a draught (state of emergency was declared in the district) which led to partial damage of crops in the area of 1,170 ha. As a result of the expert appraisal performed to assess the damage, the event was recognized as an insured event and Ingosstrakh paid the indemnity to Agrosoyuz-S CJSC.

Agrosoyuz-S CJSC specializes in the production of cereal, industrial and feeding crops and breeds cattle and sheep. The company has been cooperating with Ingosstrakh since 2008. The same year Ingosstrakh’s Elista branch paid 2.6 mln rubles to Agrosoyuz-S CJSC in connection with damage of the winter wheat seeds. Thus, during their cooperation the insurer has paid to the client insurance indemnity in the amount of 8.1 mln rubles.
