OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2010. In 2006 Beltelecom has opened a data center at Zakharova str. in Minsk. Its power has been repeatedly extended since the start of work. The services of virtual hosting, VPS, dedicated and colocation are avalible in the data center, reported the press-centre of Beltelecom.

Realizing the importance of hosting of national Internet segment and given the high demand for hosting services, Beltelecom actively developing a network of data centers in the territory of Belarus. In 2009, in Minsk, at  Uborevycha str. the next one hosting platform were built. It specializes on colocation services. Also data centers built in each regional center of the Republic of Belarus.

All datacenters of Beltelecom physically located in a special closed area, which is guarded around the clock. Each data center of Beltelecom built by international standards, which imply a guaranteed power supply, air conditioning, gas fire extinguishing system, video surveillance and security, around the clock technical support by highly qualified specialists.

Currently,  resources of data center of Beltelecom total amount: virtual hosting, VPS, dedicated with available capacity of 67 TB. This means that more than 100,000 Web sites in addition may be hosted by Beltelecom. To place the customer's equipment (colocation) there are free 44 cabinet.

To meet customer demand for hosting services based on the data center Beltelecom, company increases output area of its data center in Minsk and power sites in regional centers as needed.

To improve the reliability of information storage and ensure the highest possible data integrity Beltelecom leads project to create a backup data center, which is performed taking into account the requirements for disaster. Backup data center will be located in a special room, which will be built on the principle of a protected object, and will have a life support system, even in case of special periods.
