OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. Stockholders of Management Company Murmansk Transport Hub (MC MTH) at the annual general meeting on June 16, chaired by Transport Minister Igor Levitin elected the new Board of Directors of the company, the press service of Russian Ministry of Transport reports.
 
Among the new Board members are: Deputy Transport Minister Viktor Olersky, Sovcomflot’s CEO Sergey Frank, CEO of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport Igor Rusu, Vice President of RZD (Russian Railways) Valeriy Reshetnikov, Head of the Okyabrskaya Railroad Victor Stepov, St. Petersburg State University Professor Nikolai Yegorov, Acting Head of Territorial Administration of Federal Property Agency, Moscow Region Issac Lifshitz, CEO of MCSP OJSC Viktor Morozov, Chief Engineer of the project of Marine Construction and Technology LLC, Anatoly Shadrin, Vice-President of Rosneft, Igor Romashov, the Governor of Murmansk Region Dmitry Dmitrienko.

Management Company Murmansk Transport Hub was founded to implement the project Integrated Development of the Murmansk Transport Hub included in the Federal Program Modernization of Transport System of Russia (2010-2015).
 
Development project of the Murmansk Transport Hub includes the construction of a new offshore coal terminal (Lavna Commercial Sea Port LLC) of annual capacity of 20 million tons on the western shore of the Kola Bay and the new coal terminal in the eastern shore of the Kola Bay, with a capacity of 12 million tons. Besides, the project includes construction of a new container terminal with a capacity of 350,000 TEUs a year, expandable to 1 million TEUs a year (containers are to be transported from the port by railroad) and an oil terminal, designed for handling 35 million tons a year and onshore logistics center.
