OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. The awards ceremony for the winners of jubilee XV national financial award ‘Financial Olympus 2009’ took place in the President Hotel on June 02, 2010. The major objective of Financial Olympus Award, one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in Russia, is to contribute to the transparency of market and to increase the investment appeal of the Russian financial institutions. The award winners are decided on according to the results of the National Financial Rating (NFR) work results, and with due consideration of opinions of the supervisory board and expert council, which include the heads of the relevant ministries, departments and federal agencies, representatives of legislative and executive bodies, audit and consulting companies, and heads, experts and analysts of companies operating in the financial market. The key factor for selection of the best organizations among banks, managing, investment, insurance companies and private pension funds was their performance within 2009.

Ingosstrakh OJSIC won the award in the Major Insurance Company of the Year nomination in Result and Success category. The first professional financial award was taken by Ingosstrakh’s Vice-President, Ilya Solomatin. Giving his comments on this event, he stressed that year 2009 was a difficult one due to the weight of the international financial crisis, which primarily affected the financial sector, including insurance. Nevertheless Ingosstrakh, being the flagship of the Russian insurance market, continued to perform all its obligations to the customers and partners in full. We believe that this high opinion given by independent experts and business community can be regarded as recognition of our performance aimed at the security of the reliable insurance coverage to the interests of the state, people, companies and corporations.
