OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. Alexander Popov, Head of the Exploration Department, NGDU Sorochinskneft of OJSC Orenburgneft (incorporated into TNK-BP), informed that a program of exploration works of NGDU Sorochinskneft for 2011 is approved, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

“It is much more ambitious than the program of exploration works of this year and implies construction of 11 exploration wells and three-dimensional seismic exploration of 1,660 square kilometers in new license areas,” he said.

NGDU Sorochinskneft increases its oil production volume every year and will produce approximately 9.9 mln tons of oil in its fields this year, which is 7.7% more than in 2009. In January–April 2010, its oil production exceeded 3.2 mln tons, which is 12.2% more than in the same period last year.
