OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2010. Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of RT, performed the supply of the design voltage to the process unit of the primary crude oil processing unit CDU-VDU by pressing the button of sulfur hexafluoride switch of 6 кV switchgear of Main Step-down Substation.

A day earlier the first design voltage was received by Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex from Nizhnekamskaya sub-station and from Zainskaya GRES power plant.

Reconstruction of these stations for connecting of electrical receivers of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex was performed within the contracts concluded between OJSC TANECO, JSC Setevaya kompaniya and JSC Generiruyuschaya kompaniya. OOO Gidroelektromontazh specialists performed the reconstruction works.

Supply of voltage to the Complex was performed by means of overhead transmission lines:

- transmission line -110 кV "Nizhnekamskaya sub-station – TANECO" with length of 1,7 km (general construction contractor – OOO INVENT);

- transmission line -110 кV "Zainskaya GRES – TANECO " with length of 35,8 km (general construction contractor – CJSC Elektroschit).

From overhead transmission lines 110 kV the voltage was supplied to the buses of 110 kV switchgear and control gear # 1, in which the up-to-date high-voltage equipment is installed with SF6 insulation of АВВ production (general construction contractor – ООО Neftegasengineering, contractor of electric installation and commissioning works – ООО Gidroelectromontazh).

Then, from the switchgear #1 the voltage is supplied to the high-voltage switches room # 1, then – to the main step-down substation # 1 of the Complex, in which three power transformers are installed of АВВ production (general construction contractor - ООО Neftegasengineering, contractor of electric installation and commissioning works – JSC Tatelectromontazh).

At the power transformers of the main step-down substation # 1 the voltage 110 kV was decreased to 6 kV and then, with the help of medium voltage switchgear was supplied by means of the cable lines 6 kV to the electrical receivers of the process units of the Complex.

After pressing not symbolic, but the actual button, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked all the specialists of OJSC TANECO, contractors and the equipment suppliers for their good work.

Mr. Ilshat Fardiev, RT Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Energetics, expressed a high opinion of the event. He noted that all the companies, involved in voltage supply, worked consistently and as one team, what allowed performing such great scope of work according to the schedule.

Mr. Shafagat Takhautdinov, Tatneft General Director, Mr.Aidar Metshin, Head of Nizhnekamsky Municipal District, Mr. Khamza Bagmanov, OJSC TANECO General Director, Mr. Vladimir Kapustin, JSC VNIPIneft General Director, as well as some Heads of contracting and sub-contracting companies were present at the event of voltage supply.

Answering the journalists’ questions, Mr. Mikhail Grachev, OJSC TANECO Chief Process Engineer, told about uniqueness of the electrical equipment of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex. In particular, he noted its safety, energy efficiency, compactness and simplicity of operation.

Supply of the design voltage is the regular step of a number of activities, preceding the commissioning of the First start-up complex. In particular, in April of this year the river water was supplied to OJSC TANECO facilities for washing and hydraulic tests of the pipelines. Hydraulic tests were performed of water units, of 1-st loop of river water network, of pipelines and the cup of the cooling towers of Water unit №1, of parts of pipelines of CDU-VDU. Commissioning is going on of the equipment of technical water pump station. Filling of the fire fighting water conduit was performed of hydraulic tests of tanks of product feed tank farm, equipment and pipelines of make-up demineralizer. Commissioning works were performed of storm water sewer network. Hydraulic tests of 35 of 38 tanks of Step 1А1 were performed.

Pipelines for air receipt and supply were installed. APCS is being installed. Commissioning works were performed of gas distribution station and natural gas external pipeline. Commissioning works are being performed for external oil pipeline, pump equipment of oil acceptance points. The fire department is nearly ready for commissioning.

At the very day Mr.R.N.Minnikhanov was inspecting the facilities of the First startup complex and hold the work meeting. Mr. Kh.A.Bagmanov, OJSC TANECO General Director, made a report devoted to results of execution of the schedule of May 2010. Mr. Valery Samilov, JSC Kamaglavstroy General Director, presented the program of execution of construction works for June and up to the end of construction of Step 1A1 facilities.
