EBRD Provides Moldova EUR10 mln for Services of Drinking Water
OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2010. EBRD will provide Moldova with loan amounting to 10 million euros for implementation of development of services of drinking water The Moldovan Government at its meeting authorised to sign this document Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruеa.
Eurobank will provide the country with the loan for 15 years of delay on payments for 3 years at an interest rate EUROLIBER +1%. For realization of the same project, designed to enhance public access to drinking water, Moldova will receive 10 million euros from the European Investment Bank and the European Union.
The EIB will provide funds to Moldova in the form of loan for 25 years with deferred payments for 5 years, the interest rate will be established for each tranche; and the EU - in the form of grants, which fully cover the interest on commercial loans to be obtained from the EBRD and the EIB.
It is planned that the program of services of ensuring drinking water supply by means of the EBRD, the EIB and the EU will be implemented in selected locations: Floresti, Soroсa, Hincesti Ceadir-Lunga, Orhei and Leova.The talk is about the financing of the renovation work for water and sewerage systems, solving the problems of water loss.
