OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2010. The program of economic reforms should be the basis of national development for decades. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko said this opening the meeting of the Ukrainian Forum "Program of economic reforms: strategies and mechanisms of implementation" with the participation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, members of the working group of the Committee on Economic Reforms, leading Ukrainian scientists and experts.

"Economic reform program will be designed for 5 years - from 2010 to 2014, but in fact it lays the basis for national development for the decades ahead", stressed Vlolodymyr Semynozhenko.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, the reform requires a deep understanding of the problems accumulated in the state in recent years. "Today, Ukraine is at the crossroads, and the matter is  whether it becomes a country-leader or country-outsider", he added.

Volodymyr Semynozhenko noted that sustainable economic growth is not limited by GDP growth. "We must reach the new quality of economy, actually create a new economy. Everyone in Ukraine has to become a partaker of reforms. And then we will score a success", outlined the Vice Prime Minister.
