TKB Will Support Foreign Investors
OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2010. In light of amendments to the Immigration Law of the Republic of Latvia providing an opportunity for foreign investors to obtain a residence permit in Latvia, TKB offers comprehensive support to its customers for investing in the Latvian economy and obtaining the permanent resident status, reported the press-centre of TKB.
Amendments to the Immigration Law will take effect July 1 this year. These amendments contemplate granting residence permits in Latvia for up to five years to foreigners who have invested:
at least LVL 100,000 into one or several real estate properties in Riga, Riga region or major cities or at least LVL 50,000 into properties located in other places (it should be noted that the transaction amount is taken into consideration and not the cadastral value of the property);
at least LVL 200,000 as subordinated capital into credit institutions of Latvia for a term of not less than five years;
at least LVL 25,000 into fixed capital of Latvian enterprises, or who have created at least five new jobs and not less than half of them are occupied by residents of Latvia, EU or EEA, and who pay into the state or municipal budget at least LVL 20,000 a year in taxes.
