Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund Begins Negotiating on Institutionalization
OREANDA-NEWS. June 11, 2010. The Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF) at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan is prepared for the start of the program for raising institutionalization.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) informed, head of “Development of the primary mortgage market in Central Asia” project Victor Mints will start work in Baku from June 14.
“He will hold consultations with AMF within the framework of the visit on transition to a new stage of implementation of memorandum on cooperation with IFC. At this stage AMF would to receive assistance in its institutional development, including, in particular, development of Information Technologies network. V. Mints and leadership of the fund will discuss opportunities of this cooperation,” IFC informed.
Earlier, the Azerbaijan Bank Education Centre (АBEC), AMF and IFC carried out courses “Mortgage lending” and "Mortgage loan administration” for middle specialists in the mortgage of Azerbaijani credit institutions within the framework of the memorandum.
