OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2010. Mobile Communications Operator MTS Ukraine, 100% subsidiary company OJSC Mobile TeleSystems, and SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the leading suppliers of solutions, products and services in the sphere of information technologies in the CIS countries and Eastern Europe, have entered into agreement on technical support of MTS billing system applications, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.

In compliance with the terms of the agreement, SITRONICS Information Technologies is to provide MTS Ukraine with complex maintenance of all auxiliary modules of the billing platform (Non-core). It is expected that it will make it possible for MTS to:

Improve efficiency of IT subdivisions when implementing new products and services, due to the involvement of service provider’s resources;

reduce the pressure of its own IT specialists, releasing them from non-profile activity in the area of development and support of billing system applications;

optimize cooperation with suppliers and thus reduce costs concerned with the involvement of external consultants and developers for the support of auxiliary solutions;

create opportunities for the billing system updating, thus improving its quality.

As part of the project, a testing of the mentioned modules will be held along with the system updates, and also with the changes introduced in the modules as a result of business function alteration.

“We have been successfully cooperating with SITRONICS Information Technologies in the billing platform area for about three years. I am convinced that this experience will only improve in the future, thus upgrading the quality of MTS billing system and making it more reliable,” Ivan Trykhleb, Director of Information Technologies of MTS Ukraine, stated.  

“Our company has experience in implementation and maintenance of various billing system versions for wireless and convergent communication, execution of projects on installation of such systems for subscribers of prepaid communications, and migration to new versions. First projects of this kind were implemented by the specialists of our company back in 2006. Billing maintenance by sole service provider will allow an operator to optimize solution of issues accompanying management, support and audit of a billing system,” Serhiy Tarasenko, General Director of SITRONICS Information Technologies Ukraine, noted.
