OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2010. Results of an All-Russia "National Environmental Prize" Contest were summed up in Moscow. OAO TATNEFT was awarded the main prize in the nomination "Innovative Eco-Efficient Technologies in Industry", reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The Company was awarded a "Crystal Biosphere" statuette and a winner certificate "for the contribution to the strengthening of environmental security and sustainable development of Russia" and the project "Innovative eco-efficient technologies at OAO TATNEFT". The award was presented by S.R. Levy, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of Russia.

The ceremony of honoring the winners was held at the Presidential Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences with S.E. Naryshkin, Head of the Presidential Administration, chairing the solemn assembly. The function was attended by senators and deputies, representatives of science, ministries and governmental agencies, as well as representatives of the public.

The National Environmental Prize Contest is arranged under the patronage of the Federation Council of Russia with the participation of the State Duma, a number of governmental agencies and public environmental movements. This year projects, works and technologies of enterprises, organizations and educational institutions from more than 70 constituents of the Federation have been reviewed. TATNEFT Company is among the winners again. The Company has been receiving the honorary "EcoWorld" award each year since 2007. The great work of OAO TATNEFT in the field of environmental protection does not remain unnoticed and is recognized at the highest level and adequately assessed by the State, industry branch departments and society as a whole.
