OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Belsolod, the country’s only producer of malt, reported a 34.2% increase in malt export in the first four months of 2010 to 4,652 tonnes, a source in the company told.

Supplies to the domestic market dropped 65.5% to 5,415 tonnes.

Belsolod’s sales totaled 10,067 tonnes in January-April, down 48% on the year.

Belsolod produced 10,310 tonnes of malt in January-April 2010, down 65.6% on the year.

Belsolod was established in 1989 and transformed into a joint stock company in 1996.
