Ukraine to Implement New Projects in Field of Air Transportation
OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. The Government of Ukraine is going in the coming year and a half to complete a number of projects in the field of aviation. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Boris Kolesnikov said that during the International Forum of airports and air carriers Routes CIS held in Kharkiv within the framework of "The World Route Development Forum".
"About development of aviation, in the next one and a half years, all air carriers that fly to Ukraine or are going to fly to us, will receive from the Government of Ukraine a number of projects", stressed Vice Prime Minister.
Particularly, according to Boris Kolesnikov, the Government is going to complete the runway in Kharkiv, meeting ICAO category II, the length of 2.5 kilometers no later than October 2011. In Lviv will be built a new passenger terminal with an area of 29 thousand square meters and a runway, the meeting ICAO category II, 3.2 kilometers long.
In addition, the Vice Prime Minister stressed that in Boryspil the Government is going to build a new passenger terminal D with an area approximately 100 thousand square meters. He reminded that the terminal F of the above-mentioned airport will be commissioned this summer.
In 2011 will be commissioned Donetsk international airport terminal with an area of 52 thousand square meters and a runway, meeting ICAO category III, 4 kilometers long.
Borys Kolesnikov said that after the mandatory fulfilment of the program of the Euro-2012 preparation the Government is going to build a new runway at the Odessa airport. Also, according to him, the issue of the Crimea remains as a priority one.
