OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2010. Construction works on reference walls are in their final stage on the territory of future treatment facilities in Krasnaya Polyana settlement.

Concrete casting for aerotanks (reservoirs for waste water treatment) is in progress. Treatment facilities capacity will be 15 thousand m3 per 24 hours. It will give an opportunity to clean the drain of the main collecting sewer in Krasnaya Polyana and Esto-Sadok settlements, as well as on sports venues – sport and tourist complex “Gornaya Karusel”, ski-jumping complex, Alpine Center “Roza Khutor”, mountain and climatic resort Alpika-Service, and bobsleigh track.

At the present moment there is no modern infrastructure in this area which will allow waste water treatment. Most of the houses and other facilities on the territory of Krasnaya Polyana do not have any supply for central sewerage system.

Integrated biologically treated waste water additional treatment on micro-filtered membranes is stipulated by the design of the facility. This technology also includes mechanical cleaning, biological treatment in aerotanks, and ultra-violet disinfection. Present technology was implemented in the Olympic venue in Beijing during Summer Games 2008. Construction of aerotanks has already been started; they will have a circle shape with secondary settling tank in the middle of it. This is a compact, mobile and earthquake-proof construction; and this is a determining fact for treatment facilities construction in Krasnaya Polyana settlement. The winner of the open auction on treatment facilities construction in Krasnaya Polyana settlement is LLC “Sevstroyinvest”. Construction will be finished by the summer 2011.
