OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2010. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov met with the president of the corporation "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries" Kazuo Tsukuda in fame of discussion of project proposals being implemented through the "green investments".

During the meeting the Head of Government expressed interest in a number of joint investment projects with participation of one of Japan's largest corporations. In particular, Ukraine is interested in upgrading the national power system, using the technology of heat pumps and cogeneration systems for industry, construction of waste recycling plant in Kiev and a number of other joint projects.

The Prime Minister invited Japanese company to participate in the construction of waste recycling plant in Kiev. "Invest in the construction of waste recycling plant, it will be in your property, and I think you'll be able to recoup the cost of its construction and operate profitably. We, as the Government, are ready to contribute to it maximally" - Mykola Azarov emphasized.

Prime Minister suggested "Mitsubishi" to intensify the cooperation to establish joint ventures. "We are ready to expand further our cooperation. Let us create joint ventures and the costs and risks will be shared half-and half" - Mykola Azarov emphasized, suggesting the Japanese side to find the cheapest long-term loans for innovative investment in Ukraine, under which the Government would provide Government guarantees.

"I can see a very wide field of our cooperation, and we are always open to discuss the proposals" - the Prime Minister summed up.
