Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant Received Loan from DBK
OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2010. Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC (ENRC) announced that Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant received USD400 m loan under the agreement with Development Bank of Kazakhstan, previously announced, reported the press-centre of KASE.
The loan, where ENRC PLC acts as a guarantor, was provided by Development Bank of Kazakhstan for 15 years fro the preferential credit line EXIM Bank of China. The loan will be allocated to refund the electrolysis plant first and second lines in Kazakhstan, and partially to fund the anode plant.
Chief Executive Director of ENRC PLC, Felix Vulis said: "The successful completion of the electrolysis plant second line is the main investment priority that allowed increasing the efficient production capacity of the company to 250,000 of aluminum per year. We believe this significant funding is the sign of confidence in ENRC sustainable development as one of the leading mining and smelting companies".
