TATNEFT to Begin Works at TANECO Infrastructure Facilities in June
OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2010. The plans schedule completion of building the infrastructure facilities of the future TANECO complex of refining and petrochemicals production (Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan) in summer 2010. Start-up operations will begin immediately after completion. At present, there are 784 persons and 286 equipment units engaged at infrastructure facilities construction sits. All in all there are 7 thousand persons and 900 units of equipment engaged at the construction sites of the refinery and petrochemical plants complex, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
The TANECO project implementation is a top priority for OAO TATNEFT today.
Financing of three TANECO external infrastructure facilities: an oil pipeline for delivery of feedstock to the future refinery and a product line for pumping finished products, as well as a railway with two stations is made from the Russian Federation Investment Fund. The investment project was approved by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1708-r dated November 30, 2006. The Government of the Russian Federation allocated 16.5 billion rubles for construction of infrastructure facilities of the Complex. The investment project of OAO TATNEFT is one of the pilot projects financed from the Russian Federation Investment Fund.
Linear parts of 118.2 km long oil pipeline and 183 km long product pipeline were completed within a record time period by the end of 2009.
The pipeline connected TANECO with the oil pumping station "Kaleykino (Almetyevsk Region). The technical solutions implemented in the course of the pipeline construction provide for future increase of them pipeline throughput, if required.
Construction customer of the pipeline and the product pipeline is OAO AK Transneft, which has appointed Tatneft Company to be an executor. General Contractor of the construction is Glavneftegazstroyservis Management Company founded in 2006 on the basis of TATNEFT's construction divisions.
Commissioning of the railway infrastructure is scheduled for August 2010.
Commissioning of the first starting complex of TANECO (Phase 1A1) is scheduled for October 10, 2010. In addition to the primary oil refining installation it will also include a sulfur production installation and a tar visbreaking unit.
The plants of the Complex will produce 18 kinds of oil refining products from motor fuels of European quality to the components of raw materials to produce a wide range of highly demanded petrochemical products.
