OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2010. "Zawolzhsky motorny zawod" (a branch of ОАО "SOLLERS") has got status "Q1-supplier" - Ford guaranteed quality ".

On level scale of Ford suppliers, "Q1-supplier" means a supplier of highest level which dynamically develops and complies to international and Ford specific requirements to its suppliers. And what is especially important that it is a basement for establishment of long-term cooperation with expansion of range of parts to be supplied.

Evaluation of OAO “ZMZ” on compliance to special requirements of “Q1-supplier” was done by Ford representatives.

Project with company "Ford" started in February 2009, when ZMZ in frames of contract with ZAO "Ford Motor Company" (FMC) began supplying 4 types of brackets for vehicle "Ford- Focus", assembled in Vsevolozhsk.

It should be noted that "Ford" chose ZMZ as a supplier taking into consideration implemented activities in enterprise in field of quality in accordance with requirements of new international automotive standard ISO/TS 16 949 and everything that have been done in production system thanks to implementation of elements of Toyota Production System.

As a supplier of Ford, OAO "ZMZ" has been put in European database of automotive components manufacturers.

During a year of cooperation ZMZ has not received any remarks on quality of supplied parts.

The contract has been prolonged on 2010  and there has started parallel activities on expansion of items range with perspective to supply to European market.
